A birth doula is a trained and experienced person who provides continuous educational, physical, and emotional support before, during, and immediately after childbirth.
We provide basic education of what to expect during pregnancy, the stages of labor, labor itself, postpartum experiences, common interventions, and the possible cesarean.
A CLC provides support, information, technique resolution, and basic education for the lactating mother.
“When I look back at my experience with Kelly three words come to mind; calm, confident, and maternal”
“I truly believe you are the reason we have made it through the tough times and pushed forward. You have been my angel! While others have cared about my hopes and dreams regarding breastfeeding, you have actually been there for me at 2am during a melt down and have been the one person that truly and full-heartedly cared enough to push me to continue through my lowest moments. THANK YOU and here’s to the many many months ahead.”
After my own birth experiences, my midwife encouraged me to become a doula to assist other women during their births. Twenty one years later, full time for the last twelve, I continue to be amazed at the power of women, the miracle of birth, and the union of mother-child. This is my calling and I would love to be by your side!
